*October 10, 2026*

**Three rounds. Two brothers. Zero agreement. Welcome back to Brotherly Beef (PAUSE).**

Some sports debates are strictly business. Others are personal.

And then there's Georgia versus Alabama.

This week, Anthony and Dre are back at it, tackling three of college football's biggest questions. Did Missouri expose Florida as a pretender? Is Miami finally ready to compete for a national championship? And most importantly, which brother will have bragging rights when Georgia and Alabama settle their differences on the field?

Anthony is standing ten toes down behind his Georgia Bulldogs. Dre is riding (pause) with the Crimson Tide.

Neither one is interested in hearing the other's excuses.

Let's get into it.

---

## **🥩 ROUND 1: THE FLORIDA FRAUD CHECK**

**One week you're a contender. The next week, everybody wants to know if you were ever that good.**

Florida had the college football world paying attention after dismantling No. 4 Ole Miss, 52–28\. The Gators climbed to No. 8 in the rankings, and suddenly the conversation changed.

Maybe Florida was back.

Maybe the Gators were legitimate SEC contenders.

Then Missouri came along and handed them a 45–17 reality check.

Now the question isn't whether Florida can beat a good team. It's whether the Gators can consistently compete with one.

**THE BEEF (PAUSE): Did Missouri expose Florida as overrated, or was this simply one terrible Saturday for a legitimately good team?**

### **ANTHONY: MISSOURI DESERVES MORE CREDIT**

Missouri didn't just expose Florida. They showed everybody that they're a legitimate contender in the SEC.

We're talking about one of the toughest conferences in college football, and Missouri is trying to establish itself as one of the teams everybody needs to take seriously. Honestly, they could be undefeated right now if they hadn't lost that shootout against Mississippi State.

And let's talk about their quarterback, Austin Simmons.

The senior has been taking care of the football, with zero interceptions this season. That's the type of quarterback play that can make a difference when you're competing in the SEC.

But yes, Missouri absolutely exposed some weaknesses in Florida's young secondary and inexperienced defense.

The bigger issue, though, was Florida's ground game.

Jaden Baugh, the guy this offense depends on, finished with just 13 rushing yards on 12 carries. That's barely a yard per attempt.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: **Florida will only go as far as its explosive running game takes it.**

When that ground game disappears, the Gators become a completely different football team.

Missouri didn't prove Florida is trash. They proved Florida has weaknesses that good teams can exploit.

### **DRE: ONE BAD SATURDAY DOESN'T MAKE FLORIDA A FRAUD**

I'm not ready to say Missouri exposed Florida.

Was it an embarrassing performance? Absolutely.

But this is the SEC we're talking about. The best conference in college football over the past two decades has been unpredictable, and that's exactly what we're seeing.

Good teams lose games. Sometimes they lose badly.

What matters is how they respond.

And Florida is about to find out what kind of team it really has.

The Gators have to travel to Texas and Georgia in back-to-back weeks. That's a brutal stretch, especially for a team trying to recover from a blowout.

Conference play is just getting started for Florida, and there's still plenty of football left.

I'm not throwing the Gators away after one bad Saturday.

But if they can't respond against Texas and Georgia, then we can revisit this conversation.

**THE SIDELINE VERDICT:** Anthony sees a Florida team whose weaknesses were exposed, particularly on defense and in the running game. Dre sees a talented team that had a terrible afternoon in an unforgiving conference.

The next two games could settle this argument faster than either brother expects.

## **🔥 ROUND 2: THE FAMILY FEUD — GEORGIA VS. ALABAMA**

**Now THIS is Brotherly Beef (PAUSE).**

Some rivalries are created by football.

This one started at home.

Anthony has been Georgia through and through for as long as anybody can remember.

Dre? Alabama. Roll Tide. No apologies.

These two have been arguing about the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide since before either of them could properly explain what a defensive scheme was.

And now the rivalry has another chapter.

Alabama is coming off an explosive 56-point performance against previously unbeaten Mississippi State. Georgia remains undefeated and firmly in the national championship conversation.

Both teams have talent. Both have championship expectations. Both have something to prove.

But only one brother gets to talk crazy when the final whistle blows.

**THE BEEF (PAUSE): Georgia vs. Alabama. Who wins, and why? Bring receipts, not just school loyalty.**

### **ANTHONY: GEORGIA IS THE GOLIATH — AND ALABAMA ISN'T READY**

Can young Keelon Russell carry the Crimson Tide to a victory?

**F\*CK NO.**

Georgia is the Goliath in this matchup, and I don't think Alabama is ready for what's coming.

Let's start with the defense.

You've got an experienced unit led by Raylen Wilson, a group that's averaging three takeaways per game. That's a whole different challenge for a young quarterback who hasn't seen a defense like Georgia's.

Then you've got the offensive firepower behind senior quarterback Gunner Stockton.

And don't forget who's running the show.

Kirby Smart. The Saban Slayer. Major pause.

Georgia is built for games like this.

Alabama also has to worry about Ryan Williams, who was spotted wearing a knee brace during the Mississippi State game. If he's not completely healthy, that's another problem for the Tide.

And even if he is healthy, he'll have to deal with Ellis Robinson IV, who I believe is the best cornerback in the conference.

Good luck with that.

I know Alabama is playing at home. I know Tuscaloosa is going to be rocking.

I don't care.

Georgia is going to show the entire country who the real No. 1 team is.

**ANTHONY'S PREDICTION: GEORGIA 35, ALABAMA 17.**

### **DRE: ROLL TIDE. THAT'S THE ANSWER.**

Alabama wins this game outright.

Period.

This team is battle-tested and ready for a heavyweight matchup.

They've already handled Mississippi State and Kentucky, two teams that had momentum heading into their games against the Tide.

And now they get Georgia at home.

Look, I'm not going to disrespect Georgia. They're consistent, they're talented, and they're always well-coached.

Kirby Smart has built one of the best programs in college football.

But let's talk about history.

Georgia hasn't beaten Alabama in the regular season since 2007, and Kirby Smart has struggled against the Crimson Tide throughout his coaching career.

That matters.

Alabama knows how to play Georgia. They know how to handle the pressure that comes with this rivalry.

And when you've got a talented team playing in Tuscaloosa with that kind of confidence, I like our chances.

Anthony can talk about turnovers, quarterbacks, and whatever else he wants.

I'm taking the Tide.

**DRE'S PREDICTION: ALABAMA 31, GEORGIA 24.**

### **THE SIDELINE VERDICT: SOMEBODY'S GETTING EXPOSED**

This is what Brotherly Beef (PAUSE) was built for.

Anthony believes Georgia's defense will overwhelm Alabama's young quarterback and turn this into a statement victory.

Dre believes Alabama's experience, history, and home-field advantage will be enough to send the Bulldogs home with their first loss.

And let's be clear about something.

Anthony isn't just predicting a Georgia win. He's predicting an 18-point beatdown.

Dre is calling for a seven-point Alabama victory.

Those are two very different expectations.

Somebody is going to have to explain themselves after this game.

And Sanchez Sideline will absolutely be keeping receipts.

## **🙌 ROUND 3: ARE WE READY TO BELIEVE IN MIAMI?**

**Here we go again. Miami is winning, the hype is building, and the national championship conversations are getting louder.**

The Hurricanes are undefeated and coming off a commanding 41–13 victory over Clemson.

That's not the kind of result you can just ignore.

With Darian Mensah running the offense and Malachi Toney providing explosive playmaking ability, Miami has the look of a team capable of making serious noise.

But we've seen Miami hype before.

And looking like a contender in October isn't the same thing as lifting a trophy in January.

**THE BEEF (PAUSE): Is Miami legitimately good enough to win the national championship, or are we falling for the Hurricanes hype again?**

### **ANTHONY: I'M NOT BUYING THE HYPE JUST YET**

I can't believe in Miami yet.

They've got a great offense. I'll give them that.

But I think some of those numbers have been beefed up — pause — by the level of competition they've been playing.

I want to see what this offense looks like when it lines up against a defense with elite corners and a legitimate pass rush.

Malachi Toney had a season-low 40 yards in the last game, and that's something I'm paying attention to.

What happens when better defenses start taking him away?

Can Miami still move the football?

Can they win when their biggest playmakers aren't dominating?

Darian Mensah looks like the Heisman front-runner right now, but that doesn't automatically make Miami a national championship team.

I need to see more.

Give me tougher opponents. Give me elite defenses. Give me a game where everything isn't going Miami's way.

Then we can talk about national championships.

Until then, I'm not sold.

### **DRE: MIAMI IS ABSOLUTELY A NATIONAL TITLE CONTENDER**

Yes. Miami is legitimate.

I don't understand why we're still acting surprised.

This program made it all the way to the national championship game last season, and now they've added Darian Mensah to an offense that already features Malachi Toney.

That's a dangerous combination.

They've got experience, explosive talent, and a quarterback who can make plays.

And they're not just beating teams. They're dominating them.

Now, I'm not saying we should hand Miami the trophy today.

They've still got some serious tests ahead.

That Week 10 matchup against Notre Dame is going to tell us a lot about how good this team really is.

But right now?

Miami looks like one of the most dominant teams in college football.

At some point, you've got to stop calling everything hype and acknowledge what's happening on the field.

**THE SIDELINE VERDICT:** Anthony wants Miami to prove itself against stronger competition before he's willing to buy championship stock. Dre believes the Hurricanes have already earned their place among the nation's elite.

The Notre Dame matchup could become the measuring stick both brothers are waiting for.

---

## **⚡ BROTHERLY BEEF (PAUSE): THE LIGHTNING ROUND**

**Five questions. Two brothers. Quick answers. No fence-sitting. No PR answers.**

### **1\. GEORGIA VS. ALABAMA — WHO'S WINNING?**

**ANTHONY:** Georgia plus 10\. Even with that shitty weather Alabama's dealing with right now, I'm still riding with the Dawgs.

**DRE:** Bama. Next question.

### **2\. ARCH MANNING — LIVING UP TO THE HYPE OR STILL SOMETHING TO PROVE?**

**ANTHONY:** He's still got something to prove. He's played one real team, and he almost let Tennessee come back and win.

**DRE:** Arch is making strides. He's improving. Now it's about staying consistent.

### **3\. RED RIVER RIVALRY — TEXAS OR OKLAHOMA?**

**ANTHONY:** Oklahoma. But their quarterback, John Mateer, can't handle elite pass rushes. Georgia proved that last week.

**DRE:** Texas.

### **4\. WHICH HIGHLY RANKED TEAM IS THE BIGGEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF FRAUD?**

**ANTHONY:** BYU. They haven't played ranked competition yet. Notre Dame gets them next week, and I think the Irish win by three touchdowns.

**DRE:** Indiana. I'm not buying it.

### **5\. THE ULTIMATE DISRESPECT — STEAL ONE PLAYER FROM YOUR BROTHER'S TEAM.**

**ANTHONY:** I don't need nobody from that shitty team. But if I absolutely have to pick somebody, give me Keon Sabb. Great ball instincts. He'd look real good on the other side of Ellis Robinson IV.

**DRE:** Kirby Smart.

*Not a player. Not even close. Dre wants to steal Georgia's head coach.*

And somehow, that might be the most disrespectful answer of the entire Lightning Round.

---

## **🏁 THE FINAL WHISTLE: FAMILY FIRST, FOOTBALL SECOND**

Three rounds later, one thing is clear.

These brothers don't see college football the same way.

Anthony is questioning Florida's consistency, refusing to buy Miami's championship hype, and predicting Georgia will put Alabama in its place.

Dre is giving Florida another chance, putting his faith in Miami, and standing firmly behind Alabama.

But the biggest argument of the week isn't about Florida or Miami.

It's about family bragging rights.

Georgia versus Alabama.

Anthony versus Dre.

The Bulldogs versus the Crimson Tide.

One brother is going to be celebrating.

The other is going to be hearing about it all week.

And you better believe we're bringing the receipts back next week.

**Because in this family, the football arguments never end.**
