It wasn’t just the Bueckers’ show, though. Fellow rookie, Aziaha James, exploded in the second half, pouring in all of her season-high 17 points to fuel the Wings’ offense. It was James who broke the game’s final tie with a clutch floater in the third quarter, giving Dallas a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

The Wings also got a big boost from NaLyssa Smith, who chipped in 12 points, and Li Yueru, who tallied 11 points and a season high 9 rebounds. This was a back-and-forth battle for the ages, featuring 12 lead changes and 10 ties, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the very end.

Despite shooting just 36% from the field in the second half, the Wings sealed the deal at the free-throw line, sinking 21 of 26 attempts (81%)!

This win marks the first time this season the Dallas Wings (3-11) have won back-to-back games, snapping a tough seven-game skid earlier in the week. They’re starting to find their groove, even having beaten the Sun convincingly 109-87 back in May for their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, it’s a different story for the Connecticut Sun (2-11), who have now dropped five straight games. They’ll be looking to turn things around as they kick off a four-game road trip on Sunday against Golden State. The high-flying Wings will look to keep their momentum going as they head to Washington to face the Mystics on Sunday.

What do you think, hoops fans? Are the Dallas Wings finally turning a corner? Can the Connecticut Sun break out of their slump? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
