Dream Beat Wings, Stay Undefeated

Boarding Pass Denied

While the Dallas Wings were busy looking for the ball, Angel Reese was busy collecting it like it was a rare Pokémon set. Reese grabbed 16 boards, including eight on the offensive glass—which, for those keeping score at home, is one more than the entire Wings team combined.

At 24 years old, Reese just clocked her 51st career double-double. She’s now the second youngest to hit the 50-mark, trailing only Tina Charles. If she keeps vacuuming up rebounds at this rate, the WNBA might need to start charging her property taxes on the paint.

Dream On: Atlanta Stays Perfect

The Atlanta Dream moved to 2-0, proving that you don’t need a deep bench when your starters decide to play hero ball. Allisha Gray went off for 26 points, while Jordin Canada put the "North" in North Texas by freezing the Wings' momentum with a cold-blooded 3-pointer late in the fourth.

Atlanta’s bench only chipped in five points, but when your starters are cooking like a Sunday dinner, who needs appetizers?

Wings Clipped in the Fourth

Dallas had the lead at the half, but apparently, the second half is where the vibes went to die. Arike Ogunbowale did her best to carry the load with 20 points, and Paige Bueckers added 15, but the Wings couldn't overcome a 15-6 Atlanta run to start the final frame.

The Wings missed the presence of Azzi Fudd (knee), leaving their offense looking a bit more "budget airline" than "private jet" in the closing minutes.

Raw Sports. Real Motivation. Zero Filter.

What’s Next:

  • Atlanta: Heading back to the A for a massive home opener at State Farm Arena against the powerhouse Las Vegas Aces this Sunday.

  • Dallas: Staying home to host Minnesota on Thursday. Hopefully, they’ve scheduled some rebounding drills in the interim.
